Lock Haven Volleyball drops match at Shippensburg, 3-0
LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven University volleyball team (8-12, 3-8 PSAC) fell on the road to Shippensburg University (20-3, 10-1 PSAC), 3-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action Saturday afternoon.
Lock Haven fought hard in close sets but eventually dropped the match, 25-21, 25-21 and 25-13.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) one of the digs leaders in the NCAA tallied 26 digs over the three sets.
The Bald Eagles offense was led by Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) and Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) who both finished the day with 8 digs. Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added 32 assists for Lock Haven.
Shippensburg’s offense was well balanced with Morgan DeFloria recording 15 kills and Kendall Johnson finishing with 12.
