LHU’s Leidy named PSAC Freshman of the Week

LOCK HAVEN — Freshman guard Taylor Leidy (Juniata Valley, Pa./Juniata Valley) of the Lock Haven University women’s basketball team has been named this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Freshman of the Week by the conference office.

This is Leidy’s second time winning the weekly award on the young season.

Leidy played a huge part in LHU’s 76-70 road win at Gannon. She poured in 13 points in the game to go along with five rebounds and an assist as she helped lead the Bald Eagles to their first road win at Gannon since 1992. She also knocked down 7 of 9 free throws to help seal the victory down the stretch.

The win also helped Lock Haven stretch their current win-streak to six games, the longest streak since the 2005-06 season.

Up Next:

Lock Haven will travel to Slippery Rock for their next game on Tuesday, December 18. That game is set for a 5:00 PM tip.
