Softball remains unbeaten with win over CMVT

The Bucktail Bucks softball team continued to roll as their undefeated season moved to 7-0 following yesterday’s 11-5 win over Columbia Montour Vo-Tech.

Bucktail jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first but would run into a rare case of misfortune when the Rams scored four in the top of the third to cut the lead to 6-4.

The drama didn’t last long though as Bucktail answered with their own four-run inning in the bottom of the fourth on their way to the six-run win.

This time it was older sister Myka Poorman coming on relief of her freshman sister Emma on the mound, with Emma picking up the win before Myka allowed no earned runs in the last 3 2/3 innings. From the plate the Poorman sisters each picked up three RBIs, two hits and a triple.

Emily Cross went 3-for-4 from the plate as she also tripled and doubled.

Bucktail makes up Monday’s rain out today when they host Muncy.
