Three Red Raiders commit to Universities for athletics

On Friday, May 17 the Bellefonte Athletic Department celebrated student-athletes Moryelle Fernandez, Shaelah Pepperman and Kyle Myers who committed to continuing their education and playing careers at the college level.

Moryelle Fernandez will continue his track career next season at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Fernandez holds the school record in both the long and triple jump, and was a member of the 2018 Red Raider soccer team that won a district championship. He plans to major in Accounting at IUP.

Shaelah Pepperman will further her volleyball career at Chatham University. Pepperman was a three-time team MVP, and two-time captain. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and Art Club. Pepperman intends to major in Art Therapy.

Kyle Myers will wrestle for West Virginia University next season. Myers tallied over 100 wins in his high school career, and was a two-time district champion and two-time state qualifier. Myers was also a member of the Red Raider football team. He’s a member of the National Honor Society and will major in Organizational Leadership.
