Auto Racing Roundup: Ryan Smith takes Kramer cup

The Kramer Cup was center stage on Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway and an excited Ryan Smith was standing beside it after he led the field in a 30-lap tribute honoring the late Kramer Wiliamson.
Smith, at the wheel of the Heffner Racing/Red Robin No. 72, also ended up with $3,937 in prize money including contingencies.
Coleby Frye of Dover became the first repeat super late model feature winner of the year in the 25-lap, $2,000-to-win race.
Shaun Lawton of Bloomsburg completed his third consecutive win in the 15-lap pro stock feature, while Brad Kling of Mount Union won the 20-lap Mid-Atlantic modified feature in the division’s only appearance of the season at the track. The Speedway will be back in action with a two-race weekend on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30.
Down at Lincoln Speedway it was another win for young Freddie Rahmer, his third of the season.
CJ Tracy found himself back in the victory lane for the second year in a row on Fallen Firefighters Night at the track. It was Tracy’s third career win at the speedway. This Saturday, June 29, Lincoln Speedway is back in action with the 410 & Central PA Legends for Night No.2 of PA Speedweek. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
Over at Port Royal Jeff Miller picked up his second win of the year , and Dylan Yoder was padding his points lead in the late-model division by parking it in victory lane. Brad Mitch led nonstop for the win in the Juniata Junction Xtreme Stocks series .
And Danny Dietrich darted to his third sprint car win of the season Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway, pocketing $3,680 for the victory it was the 22nd of this career at the track.
Doug Hammaker started on the pole for the limited sprint main and never looked back on his way to his first win of the season at the track. The Grove will present the opening of the 29th annual “Pennsylvania Speedweek” Series for Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars coming up this Friday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. The night will be highlighted by a special pre-race appearance by noted sprint car driver, author and television commentator Brad Doty of Apple Creek, Ohio.
Jim Yoder’s on a roll at Clinton County Motor Speedway. Somehow, Yoder finds a way to win, even if he isn’t the fastest car on the track. The Selinsgrove, PA driver scored 25-lap win No. 3 of the season during June 21 racing action. Ross Perchak of Hazleton drove the Perchak Trucking No. 4 to the Weaver’s Radiator & Auto Repair/Jay Coder Excavating & Trucking 270 micro sprint feature, adding his name to the winners list and,leading the field in a non stop 15-lap feature event. Garrett Bard of Wells Tannery rolled on to win No. 4 of the season during 600 micro sprint action. The TJ Shooters Sports Bar FWD 4 cylinder feature was won by Tim Raup. Action continues Friday June 28 with the first ever visit by the Northeast Ultimate Super Late Model Series. Speedway officials expect Northeast Ultimate leaders to bring a field of travelers and the areas best late model drivers to the 3/8th mile oval for this extra distance, 40 lap feature which pays the winner $ 3,000 dollars.
Over at Jennerstown Speedway Teddy Gibala was victorious in the Martella’s Pharmacies Late Model division of racing at the Speedway Complex on “Drive DeVilbiss Night at the Races.” R.J. Dallape won for the first time in his Stoystown Auto Wreckers Modified career, and A.J. Poljak won the Tunstall Auto & Truck Repair Street Stock race for the first time this year. Also parking in Stoney’s Beer Victory Lane on Saturday, June 22 were defending Champion Dale Kimberly in the Farmers Union Co-Op Charger division, and Andrew Pluta in Somerset Trust Company Fast ‘n Furious 4-Cylinder racing. On Saturday, June 29, Jennerstown Speedway Complex presents Five Division Racing plus round two of the 2019 Ron’s Collision Center Enduro Series. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6pm.
Get ready for PA SPEEDWEEK Action: Friday at the Grove; Saturday at Lincoln; Sunday at Selinsgrove; Monday July1 at Lincoln; Tuesday at Grandview; Wednesday at Port Royal; Thursday at Hagerstown; Friday back to the Grove; and Saturday July 6 at Port Royal. That’s nine straight days of racing action
