BEA Eagles get Clearfield in semifinals

The Bald Eagle Area softball team (21-3) will face the Clearfield Bison (14-9) in the semifinal round of PIAA state tournament, Monday at 5 p.m. at Mount Aloysius College.
This is the third meeting between the two teams this season. BEA won its season-opener versus Clearfield, 17-2, back on March 26. BEA then shutout Clearfield, 9-0, back on April 18.
The winner will advance to the state title game at PSU’s Beard Field, Friday at 1:30 PM. The winner plays the winner of Monday’s other semifinal matchup featuring Bloomsburg and Pine Grove.
