CM girls basketball falls to Danville, 53-31


The Central Mountain girls basketball dropped its away contest against the Danville Ironmen. 53-31.

The game was tied 10-10 after the first quarter, but Central Mountain was outscored 43-21 for the remainder of the game.

Ball security hampered CM all evening as they committed 22 turnovers. Danville exploited CM’s miscues en route to 17 points off turnovers.

Avery Baker led the Wildcats with a team-high 13 points. Sophomore point guard Mia Kopysciansky added seven points. Kiahna Jones tallied six points and a team-high eight rebounds and seven blocks. Quinlynn McCann rounded out the scoring with five points and three steals.

Central Mountain (4-6) returns Friday with a home matchup versus Milton.
