Jersey Shore falls to Danville in girls basketball

Jersey Shore jumped out to a nine-point lead after the first quarter and held Danville to just two points heading into the second Friday night.

It was a good start to the game for the Bulldogs. But that’s when Danville started to shift the momentum away.

The Ironmen outscored the Bulldogs in the second and third quarters, 29-15, and held a five-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Jersey Shore played solid throughout the game, but couldn’t rally in the fourth and came up just shy, falling 38-30.

Aubrey Schilling led the Bulldogs with a 13-point performance and was the only Jersey Shore player to score in double figures.

Danville didn’t have any players in double figures and was led by Ella DeWald’s eight points.
