Khanis Hubbard named Lock Haven interim football coach
Lock Haven University announced that assistant coach Khanis Hubbard will take over duties as the interim coach of the football program. A national search for the Bald Eagles’ next coach is underway.
“I am confident in Coach Hubbard’s abilities to serve the student-athletes and to lead the assistant coaches’ recruiting efforts during this time,” Dr. Tom Gioglio, director of athletics, said.
Hubbard joined the Bald Eagles in 2020 as the defensive backs coach and this past season also contributed to coordinating the defensive unit. In 2021, Hubbard helped guide standout-linebacker Shane Scott to All-Conference honors.
Prior to LHU, Hubbard spent six seasons at Quincy University (2013-2018). During his tenure at Quincy, he served various roles, including offensive coordinator, offensive line coach, defensive coordinator, and defensive line coach.
