At the Williamsport Showcase Tournament for girls wrestling, Central Mountain had a pair of champions as Central Mountain, Bellefonte and Sugar Valley saw wrestlers get to the medal rounds on Saturday.

Central Mountain’s Austynn Falls pinned Benton’s Alyssa Posey in 60 seconds to win the title at 142 pounds. At 170, Kendall Wagner, a returning state medalist from last winter, needed just 1:45 to pin Laurel Ramsey of Mifflinburg.

Competing in the third-place finals, Jersey Shore’s Isabella Gottschall won at 170 with a 46-second pin over Central Columbia’s Isabelle Hidlay.

Bellefonte’s Ella Johnsonbaugh won the fifth-place title at 136 with a 12-1 major decision win over Benton’s Kenzie Meikrantz. Sugar Valley had a wrestler take sixth when Olivia Johnson fell at 142 to Memphis Paul of Athens in 1:26. Johnson lost in the consolation semifinals to CMVT’s Piper Reed by fall, 2:58, to drop into the fifth-place finals. Central Mountain’s.
