LHU women’s lacrosse soars past Edinboro, opens PSAC play with win
EDINBORO – The Lock Haven lacrosse team opened its 2025 PSAC West schedule in a big way, soaring to a 16-6 victory on the road at Edinboro on Wednesday afternoon.
With the victory, the Bald Eagles have now won two straight to improve to 4-3 on the season and 1-0 in the PSAC West. Edinboro falls to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
The Haven outscored the Fighting Scots 10-2 in the first half and never looked back. During that first-half run, Lock Haven led 24-10 in shots and limited Edinboro to just one goal per period.
Gabby Gunnip led the offense with a hat-trick, while Emma Williams (two assists), Lexi Bunk, Kaitlyn Collins and Jordan Ellis each finished with two goals. Collins dished out two assists and led the defense with four ground balls and a pair of forced turnovers.
Defensively, Sam Houck and Ally Weaver each forced a pair of turnovers. And Gretchen King earned the goalkeeper victory for The Haven as she finished with six saves. The victory is King’s fourth of the season.

The Bald Eagles have the weekend off before returning home to host Seton Hill at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at Charlotte Smith Field.
