Jersey Shore won’t have any wrestlers competing at the PIAA Class AAA tournament in Hershey as no Bulldogs managed to qualify by taking fourth or better on Saturday at Bethlehem Liberty in the Northeast Class AAA Regional tournament.

Jersey Shore’s Slate Sechrist also reached the quarterfinals, but couldn’t make it to the semifnials after suffering a 2:15 fall against Notre Dame-Green Pond’s Connor Smalley at 215. Sechrist defeated Josiah Rodriguez of ES South by major decision, 15-4. Jersey Shore’s Louden Spotts earned a 7-2 decision win in the consolation of eight second round over Freedom’s Nicholas Lyden at 139.

Jersey Shore’s Tobias Morgret lost a 6-0 decision contest to Roman Catholic’s Rocco Trivelli at 152. Spotts fell to Delaware Valley’s Brady Colville by major decision, 9-1, at 139 in the consolation of four round as well.

No Jersey Shore wrestler managed to advance to the consolation semifinals.
