SELINSGROVE — Blake Walker collected three hits in four at bats, as Central Mountain defeated Selinsgrove, 10-4, on Monday. Walker hit a solo home run to center field in the sixth inning, singled in the third inning and singled in the first inning.

A ground out by Darius Shade put Central Mountain on the board in the top of the second. Central Mountain added one run in the third after Walker singled down the left field line.

The Wildcats scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to center field by Walker on a full count.

Jase Seltzer earned the win for the Wildcats. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Gavin Landis took the loss for Selinsgrove. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, giving up zero runs on zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

Griffin Parker started on the hill for Selinsgrove. The hurler gave up six hits and six runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking five. Isaiah Maldonado pitched two innings of scoreless ball for Central Mountain in relief.

The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking none.

Central Mountain piled up 11 hits in the game. Nate Wian, Walker and Bryce Brungard each drove in two runs for Central Mountain. Brady Lavelle and Watt Probst each collected multiple hits for the Wildcats. Malaky Moyd paced Central Mountain with three walks.

Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Wian, Walker, and Maldonado each stole multiple bases for Central Mountain. Central Mountain stole nine bases in the game.

Riley Romig, the number seven hitter for Selinsgrove, led the way with two runs batted in. Romig went 1 for 3 on the day. Declan Abrahims led Selinsgrove with two hits in four at bats. Selinsgrove turned one double play in the game.
