Grant picks up win as part of the USAC Eastern Storm tour
Coming into Saturday night’s portion of the USAC Eastern Storm tour, the top 3 in points were all within 18 points of one other. Kyle Cummins, Briggs Danner, and Justin Grant, in that order made up those three drivers, and all three would find themselves on the podium at the end of the night.
Justin Grant would get by Briggs Danner with 11 laps remaining in the 30 lap A-main event, and would hold off a last lap pass attempt for the $6,000 win.
In USAC Silver Crown competition, Daison Pursley was able to make good on a tough night, take the lead on lap 3, and go on to win the $8,000 A-main event.
Port Royal Speedway will be back in competition on Saturday for the Blue Collar Classic featuring the Keystone RaceSaver Challenge for the 305 sprint cars and the Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race for the limited late models.
The Central PA Sprint Cars at Williams Grove Speedway Friday night and Chad Trout was in victory lane for his first win of the year. Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway, Troy Wagaman Jr. won the Steve Smith Sr. Tribute Race for his third win of 2025, with Mike Wagner getting his first point series win of the year at Port Royal Speedway.
PA Speed Week 2025 kicking off 10 nights of racing at seven different tracks. Each of the 10 shows pay a minimum of $10,000 to win. Williams Grove Speedway kicks it off on Friday night. Speed Week continues at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday.
BAPS Motor Speedway has their Speed Week show on Sunday. PA Speed Week continues seven more nights through the following week.
At Hummingbird Speedway with numerous rainouts to begin the season, Mother Nature finally cooperated with a dry evening for racing. Instead of wet conditions, the temperatures were hot and so was the racing action. Those visiting Victory Lane were Doug Surra, Brandon Connor, Jon Lee, Dave Shagla, Zack Frantz (subbing for Shawn Hadden), and Tim Steis.
