Macri named PA Speed Week champion last week
PA Speed Week was a blast with Anthony Macri being crowned champion for the third time. Speed Week saw Freddie Rahmer winning at Lincoln Speedway on Monday, June 30. The Tuesday night show at Grandview Speedway was rained out.
At Port Royal Speedway on Wednesday, July 2, Anthony Macri was back in Victory Lane. Thursday at Hagerstown Speedway went to invader Kyle Larson. The $20,000 victory at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday went to Danny Dietrich. On Saturday at Port Royal Speedway, Lance Dewease took the $20,000 victory. The Speed Week finale at Path Valley Speedway on Sunday went to Chase Dietz.
It means Anthony Macri is the 2025 Champion for the third time in a row. He also won $5,000 for finising in the top 5 every night. Danny Dierrich was second and Chase Dietz third.
Some noteables of the week included Danny Dietrich claiming the Mitch Smith Memorial for 410 sprint cars as part of Pennsylvania Speedweek at Williams Grove Speedway. It was Dietrich’s first win of the season at Williams Grove, his seventh overall and the 33rd of his career at the Grove.
At Port Royal the winning move was made by the race track’s second most winningest driver Lance Dewease with nine laps to go on Anthony Macri to take the win in the seventh annual Greg Hodnett Classic at the Speedway on Saturday.
Path Valley Speedway was the final host for the Pennsylvania Speedweek with 34 410 sprint drivers signing in for the evening’s event with driver Chase Dietz taking the checkered flag after 35 laps of pure power, collecting the $10,000.00 purse.
