ALTOONA – Spiking their way to state competition. The championship game was a rematch from the middle of October when the Eagles defeated the Rams, 3-0, on their home court. Both teams are moving on in state competition. Bald Eagle will be hosting their first game of the state run.
“We’ve been working very hard and it’s paid off today,” said Bald Eagle Area coach Taylor Giedroc. “They were all working to this moment and they did it. I’m so proud of them. They all worked together and had each other’s back and kept the energy the whole game.”
Both teams belonged to Laurel Highlands Conference.
Bald Eagle came into the contest with a record of 24-7-2 while the Rams came into the D6 title tilt with a record of 31-4-2.
