Lock Haven football beats Millersville, earns third consecutive victory

MILLERSVILLE — The Lock Haven football team put together another dominate effort on both sides of the ball to win its third straight game after downing Millersville 42-7 on the road on Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division game.

With the victory, Lock Haven improved to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC East after winning its third straight game, while also securing its third straight five-win season. Lock Haven’s last three game winning streak came back in 1981.

Lock Haven is looking to make history by securing a winning season with two remaining games on the 2025 schedule, both at home.

Millersville falls to 0-9 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

The Bald Eagles set season-highs on both sides of the ball on Saturday as the offense put up 40 points for the first time, while the defense surrendered a season-low seven points. 

Bald Eagle standout quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky was sensational once again and finished 24 of 35 with 329 yards and four touchdowns. The senior has nine touchdown passes over the last two weeks.

Mekhi Watson was on the receiving end of a pair of Ostrowsky’s touchdown throws, while also adding another score on the ground. Watson finished with seven receptions for 146 yards with a long reception of 80 yards.

Justin Popovich added 62 yards receiving, while Jaiden Huntington and Evan Sylstra also caught touchdowns.

Cureem Hathcook led the ground attack with an average of 11 yards per carry on six attempts for 66 yards. Chase Gorman also scored on the ground and ran for 36 yards on just three attempts.

On defense, Kuhron Walker finished with a team-high seven tackles and a sack. Davien Vernon finished with six solo tackles and a sack, while Raheem Reid also picked up a solo sack.

Markel Morgan led the secondary with four tackles and an interception, marking his second straight game with a pick.
