Centre adds 124 cases of COVID-19; Clinton up 4

Another day, another big jump in Centre County.

On Thursday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 124 new cases of COVID-19. The county’s total now stands at 2,202. Clinton County added four cases on Thursday, putting its total cases at 204.

Throughout the Commonwealth, the DOH reports 853 new cases of the deadly virus. That brings the statewide total to 153,397. The DOH also reported 17 new deaths in the state. A total of 8,079 have died as a result of the coronavirus.

As far as negative tests are concerned, Centre County has had 24,372 residents test negative. Clinton County has had residents 4,159 test negative.

Lycoming County rose 10 cases to 651 total. In nearby counties, the numbers look like this: Blair (631), Cambria (560), Union (454), Clearfield (314), Potter (27) and Cameron (8).
