After picking up their second win over the Bucks in seven days, it became obvious Tuesday evening, Cayden Weaver and the Phoenix just have Bucktail’s number this season.

Last week it was Weaver with a dominant 12-0 win where despite picking up just one strike out, held held the Bucks to just 5 hits in the run-rule win and Sugar Valley Rural Charter’s School’s first of the season.

Over the last three days Bucktail scored 45 runs in two games with a win over Northern Potter and dropping a one run 16-15 thriller against Millville.

Although the Bucks played offensively better against Weaver this time around, the senior still proved to be Bucktail’s kryptonite as the he oversaw a 24-7 explosion from his teammates. Sugar Valley improved to 2-14 on the year with the win.

The Phoenix picked up 19 hits as they went through 6 Bucktail pitchers. The home team didn’t help themselves in the field as the Bucks were charged with 9 errors and allowed 14 unearned runs.

Lincoln Breon and Lance Winchester each had four hits in the win as Weaver picked up 3 hits and Bryer Martin scored 5 runs.

Brett Mason and Kyler Friese each went 3 for 3 from the plate for Bucktail.

Sugar Valley will head to Muncy on Wednesday as the Bucks fall to 2-15 and will be at Montgomery on Wednesday.
