Shield tests make cancer screening more accessible

Philip Vonada South Williamsport Losing family to cancer changed my outlook on life. It taught me that when it comes to cancer, putting off screening just isn’t worth the risk. With Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month around the corner, I hope people across Pennsylvania will take a moment to consider the importance of prevention for this disease that is estimated to claim more than 2,000 Pennsylvanian lives this year alone – more than one in three Pennsylvanians diagnosed with colorectal cancer die from the disease. I hope they love the higher prices for gas and the fact that wars only cause prices to rise! Why all the lies about the reasons we got into this war in the first place? State should combine the game and fish commissions

John E. Haines Renovo Saturday, April 5 is the first day of trout season, and according to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, they sell 790,000 fishing licenses! What I’ve learned is that Pennsylvania is the only state in the union that has a separate Game and Fish Commission. It’s my opinion that it would be advantageous if the Commonwealth would combine the two. It would reduce expenses and make the two more efficient. WPSU needs us, and we need it

When Penn State announced it would no longer support WPSU, the future of local public television and radio became unclear. More than 20,000 people signed a petition urging the University to protect this essential community service. Both back the SAVE America Act — legislation requiring you and me to provide documentation of citizenship each time we vote, whether in person or by mail. Alright…why?
