After graduation, Harold worked at the Lock Haven School District and Sara worked at Sylvania in Mill Hall.

The couple were married on March 11, 1951 in Farrandsville by Rev. J.M. Dick. The couple lived in Lock Haven until Harold was drafted into the military on Jan. 21, 1953. Harold finished six months of basic training at Fort Hood, Texas where Sara joined him. They lived in Killeen, Texas for two years until Harold was discharged in 1955.

They returned to Blanchard where they still reside.

Harold worked at Piper Aircraft for 29 years, during that time the couple was blessed with two beautiful children: one son Harold (Brenda) and one daughter Kimberly who was special needs. Sara took care of Kimberly for 50 years before she went to Heaven in 2008.
