MILL HALL -- The Kiwanis Club of Bald Eagle and Nittany Valleys recently welcomed two new members into their club: Phoebe Watson, of Mill Hall, was sponsored by Della Watson, and Teresa Cunningham (who will represent Brite Laundry), was sponsored by Tia Hillyer and Penny Meyers. They officially joined last month and have already been engaged in club activities.

"We would like to welcome Phoebe and Teresa into Kiwanis and are looking forward to seeing the great things that our future has in store, but we also want to thank their sponsors for sharing their own passion for Kiwanis with others," said Tim Meyers, club President. "It is because of these members that we reach all parts of our community."

Matt Wise, BENV Membership Chair and Pennsylvania Membership Coordinator, was excited to see two additional members this year.

"Phoebe and Teresa are two more members toward reaching our goal this year of bringing in at least one new member each month," he said. "We are working systematically to invite two new members to join us each month and share with them the many benefits of being a Kiwanian."

Chartered in 2012, the Kiwanis Club of Bald Eagle and Nittany Valleys is dedicated to making the world a better place by providing opportunities for children, youth and their families. If you are interested in more information on how you can be part of the organization, please contact a member.
