History abounds in Bellefonte, Pa., and probably nothing exemplifies this more than the Union Cemetery. This Cemetery is the resting place for over 900 veterans, Pennsylvania governors and University presidents. Clean-up and restoration efforts are never-ending, and this year, the Union Cemetery participated in the Nationwide Historic Site Cleanup Day, on April 6. Through its David B. Garver Fund, the Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094, recognizing the ongoing importance of historic site preservation, donated $3,000 to support this Centre County treasure piece.
