Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094 undertook a program designed to recognize local businesses which properly fly the US Flag each day, all day. Among the businesses recognized with the Fly the Flag Certificate was Bellefonte's Homeland Manufacturing Services, Inc., owned by John and Jennifer Bonislawski. John's grandfather, in 1944, fought in the WWII Battle of the Bulge. In devotion to his grandfather's service, John and Jennifer properly fly the flag, and will continue to follow that tradition. Other local organizations which properly fly the U. S. Flag, and were recognized by the Bellefonte Elks include Centre Dental Care, McCrossin Construction, Mitsubishi Motors, Best Western, Encompass Health, West Penn Power, McDonalds, Cleveland Brothers, Summit Park and Sheetz.
