The Bellefonte Elks recently sponsored a team in the Clubs Connect for a Cause Charity softball event. The Elks-sponsored team, joined by the Bellefonte Undines, Milesburg Legion, Bellefonte VFW and Bellefonte Legion, combined to raise $4,100, in support of a local youngster, suffering from a genetic disability. The medical bills continue to severely strain the budget of the single parent providing care for the child, through six surgeries.
