In 2004, Elks nationally began support of a Dictionary Program and have been distributing dictionaries to third graders ever since. This year, Bellefonte Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler Terree Michel distributed 10 dictionaries to third graders at St. John's Parochial School in Bellefonte. Over the years, children at St. John's have continued to use their dictionaries from year to year. Shown here, in the back row, are teacher Bethany Ickes and Michel, along with students, from left, Sadie, Lucas, Isiah, Connor, Audrey, Peter, Ali, Nathan, Owen and Lillian.
