In December, the Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094 purchased a tree for the Festival of Trees event. This event takes place at the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology In Pleasant Gap, and supports CPI student organizations. While purchase of the trees makes up the greatest portion of the funds raised, this is a community event and is tied to the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas. The Elks tree was decorated with ornaments depicting the many and varied programs provided by the Elks, further demonstrating the importance of Bellefonte Elks as a community asset in every sense.
