Community pride and support is a linchpin of its commitment to the Bellefonte area. The Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094, through its David B. Garver Fund, recently approved a $1,000 grant for restoring hot water functionality to the Bellefonte Little House, which has a rich history of providing a safe haven for Girl Scouts in Bellefonte. The former carriage house was granted to the Girl Scouts in perpetuity, in exchange for upkeep. This grant, along with other funding, will provide support for the ongoing maintenance of the property.
