The Sugar Valley Lions Club honored area Students of the Month from Sugar Valley Rural Charter School at their recent dinner meeting. The students are selected by their school administration for their academic achievements, leadership abilities and involvement in community activities. The students honored for the second trimester of the 2024-2025 school year are Austin Duck, Olivia Clester and Thayne Jeffries. Austin, accompanied by his parents David and Brenda, as well as Emma, his girlfriend, plans to further his education in biology for a career as a field biologist. Olivia Clester, accompanied by her parents, Joy and Michael, plans a career in nursing and furthering her education for a Masters degree in Midwifery. Thayne, accompanied by his parents, Nicole and Jonathan, plans to attend CPI, a trade school, to obtain a CDL while continuing his passion in the field of FFA.
