Recently, Post 623 members and Auxiliary members of the Beech Creek American Legion visited the VA home in Hollidaysburg, Pa. and provided $2,500 of donations as well as taking the Lindy Sisters there for entertainment. Post Commander Steven Heverly would like to thank not only the post members, but to include the Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion, Legion Riders, social members and the community as well -- as the spring and fall raffles assist with these initiatives. "Without all of their help and support we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We need to continuously thank all of our veterans to include those that served before us," Heverly said. "And if you could only see the look of the faces of the senior veterans at the home and with them singing along, it is priceless."
