Legion Auxiliary collects poppy donations

LOCK HAVEN — Members of William Marshall Crawford American Legion Auxiliary Unit #131 of Lock Haven collect poppy donations every year for a few days at the Mill Hall Walmart.

Poppy donations are to benefit veterans and their families.

These poppies are made by our veterans in veterans homes and hospitals throughout Pennsylvania.

Local American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) members are members of Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Counties Council and American Legion Auxiliary Department of Pennsylvania and National American Legion Auxiliary.

Our Department of Pennsylvania ALA is the largest American Legion Auxiliary in the world!

Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Council meeting will be hosted by ALA Unit #251 of Montgomery on Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. The special guest will be Julia Maldonado, who is currently serving as ALA Department of Pennsylvania’s Central Vice President and National Eastern Division’s Public Relations Chairman.

They also have a yearly Memorial Service at this meeting for departed ALA members.

American Legion Auxiliary members are urged to contact their local ALA Unit to make their reservations for this Council meeting!
