The Sugar Valley Lions Club honored area Students of the Month from Sugar Valley Rural Charter School at their recent dinner meeting. The students are selected by their school administration for their academic achievements, leadership abilities and involvement in community activities. The students honored for the first trimester of the 2025-2026 school year are Sadie Martin, Wyatt Conoway, and Ethan Weaver. Sadie, the reigning Miss Sugar Valley, was accompanied by her parents Dan and Missy Martin. Wyatt, son of Seth and Kathleen Conoway, was accompanied by his mother, Kathleen, and grandparents Nevin and Charmaine Conoway. Ethan, son of Eugene and Erica Weaver, was accompanied by his mother, Erica, and grandmother, Connie Smith. The students were introduced by Brian Stugart, Secondary Administrator of Sugar Valley Rural Charter School and were given time to tell the Lions members what activities they are involved with at school, the community and their plans for furthering their education after graduation in June.
