Once again, the Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094’s David B. Garver Fund has stepped up to assist with funding programs for a local non-profit agency. For 77 years, the Ethel Beaver Fund of the Centre County Youth Services Bureau, has made it possible for foster children in Centre County to experience the parts of childhood that many of us take for granted: Summer camps, sports teams, prom dresses and Christmas gifts. The Garver Fund donated $1,000 to the Ethel Beaver Fund, to ensure that kids in foster care do not miss out on the joys and milestones of just simply growing up. With this additional assistance, these young people do not just get by, they get to thrive, thanks in part to the donation. Shown here, at front from left, are Hillary Haris, board member, Ethel Beaver Fund Advisory Board and Elks Trustee Cathy Hoffman. Back row, Paul Morris, chair, Ethel Beaver Fund Advisory Board, Centre County Youth Services; Katie Donley, Ethel Beaver Fund Advisory Board; Amber Concepcion, Centre County Commissioner and Ethel Beaver Fund Advisory Board; and Elks PER, Trustee, and Garver Fund Manager Dale Moore.
