ALA hosts meeting in Montgomery

Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton counties Council was hosted by Bower Decker American Legion Auxiliary Unit #251 of Montgomery. Special guest was ALA Dept. of Pa.’s Central Vice President, Julia Maldonado. The ALA held its yearly Memorial Service by ALA Chaplain, Linda Womeldorf, for deceased ALA members they lost this past year. ALA members from Hughesville, Jersey Shore, Montoursville, Lock Haven, Montgomery, Muncy, Millheim, Beech Creek and Milesburg were in attendance. Their mission being in the spirit of “Service, Not Self,” to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve and have served, by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military and their families, both at home and abroad. They are part of the Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary, which currently is the largest American Legion Auxiliary in the world. The next ALA’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Council meeting will be hosted by Nittany American Legion Auxiliary Unit #245 in State College on Wednesday, March 11. All members are invited to attend.
