While most were focused on viewing the myriad football games taking place over the holidays, a group of local Elks, representing the North Central District of the Pennsylvania Elks, were busily preparing for the New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade in a much different way than is usual and customary. A group of Elks from Bellefonte Lodge #1094, Philipsburg Lodge and Country Club #1173 and Huntingdon Lodge #976 traveled to Pasadena, Calif., to help put together the Elks Grand Lodge Float, and then view the parade from bleachers in front of the Pasadena Elks Lodge. Assisting with this effort were, from left, Bonnie McNelis, Elks Grand Lodge First Lady Susan Klatt, Elks GER Bryan Klatt, District Deputy Jonathan McNelis, Steve Zelznick, Past District Deputy Denise Zelznick and Past Exalted Ruler Nina King. Nicely done to all the Elks who helped with this effort.
