BELLEFONTE — The Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094 announced Cameron Lucas as the Bellefonte Area High School Student of the Month for April 2026.

In the classroom, Cameron is a dedicated and thoughtful student, who takes his academic responsibilities seriously, and is prepared for his work each day. He is not only focused on earning strong grades, but also on truly understanding the material. He asks questions, participates in discussions and demonstrates a level of maturity and accountability that is truly admirable.

Outside of the classroom, he is equally impressive as a student-athlete. He is a member of both the golf and baseball teams and has proven himself to be a dependable and hardworking competitor.

More importantly, he is a leader among his peers and leads by example whether through his work ethic, his positive attitude or the respect he shows to teammates and coaches. He understands the importance of teamwork and consistently supports those around him.

What sets him apart most is his character.

He is respectful, responsible and genuinely kind. He handles challenges with composure and represents our school community in a positive way both in and out of the classroom. He is a well-rounded student, a committed athlete and a natural leader who is truly deserving of this recognition.

Lucas will now be in competition for the annual Student of the Year Award.
