American Legion Auxiliary meets in Beech Creek

BEECH CREEK — The Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary (ALA)’s June 2026 meeting of the Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Council was hosted by the ALA Unit #623 of Beech Creek.
Special guests were ALA Department of Pennsylvania’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Counties’ District President, Heather Smith, and her daughters who are officers of the ALA Juniors of the Department of Pennsylvania: Kendall Smith, juniors’ chaplain, and Paisley Smith, vice president.
Heather shared American Legion Auxiliary Department of Pennsylvania’s current information with ALA members who were present. Members present at this meeting were from American Legion Auxiliary Units from Lock Haven ALA Unit #131, Pleasant Gap ALA Unit #867, Montoursville ALA Unit #104, Milesburg ALA Unit #893, Beech Creek ALA Unit #623, Hughesville ALA Unit #035, Muncy ALA Unit #268, Jersey Shore ALA Unit #036 and Montgomery ALA Unit #251.
ALA Unit Members shared tons of information on their programs that they participate in for our veterans, our troops, their families and our communities, in the “Spirit of Service Not Self!”
ALA members are a community of volunteers serving veterans, military and their families. Centre, Lycoming and Clinton counties ALA members attending this council meeting reported a total of over 30,378 Volunteer hours.
The next Centre, Lycoming, Clinton Council meeting will be hosted by ALA Unit #893 of Milesburg on Sept. 23. All ALA Unit members are urged to attend. Members are to contact their local ALA Units to make reservations.
