PV Majorettes place first in Wildwood competition

PENNS VALLEY -- The Penns Valley Area High School Majorettes and Color Guard were the bonus benefactors of the Centre Hall Fire Company's March first Friday of the month Bingo.
The fire company had been selecting a bonus organization to help with fundraising during their monthly Bingos that were held from October through May.
The majorettes and color guard members also held a basket raffle during the March 6 Bingo to help offset the expense of their trip to Wildwood, N.J., to compete in the Tournament of Bands Indoor Championship held April 30 through May 3, 2026.
For every Early Bird packet purchased by Bingo players, the fire company donated $2 to the students. A total of $1,500 was raised at the Bingo.
Centre Hall Fire Company also made an additional donation of $1,000 to the students for their trip since one of the majorettes is a junior member with the fire company.
The majorettes won first place in their division during the competition in Wildwood.
