Bellefonte Mayor (and Elk member) Buddy Johnson recently signed a local proclamation declaring the week of September 7 through 13, 2026, as National Patriotism Week, in partnership with the Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094. In alignment with National Patriot Day remembrances, the Proclamation -- on display at the Bellefonte Elks Club -- urges all citizens to express gratitude for their national heritage, support local veterans, and honor first responders who serve their communities. Shown here is Mayor Johnson, left, with Bellefonte Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler Evan Edwards.
