Matt Storeman wins scholarship

LOCK HAVEN — Matt Storeman of Lock Haven is one of seven junior golfers who were awarded $1,500 scholarships through the Central Counties Golf Association.

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance for first-term students who are planning to enroll at any college or university. The funds are generated through the sale of golf cards by the Junior Golf Association Scholarship Golf Card Program.

To be eligible, primary consideration is given to all students who plan to enroll at a higher institution within the next school year, and have achieved an outstanding academic record.

Only those clubs that have participated in the golf card program are eligible, and the recipient must have participated in at least two Central Counties Golf Association sponsored events prior to receiving the award.

Storeman is enrolled at Penn State in the Professional Golf Management Program.
