Cale J. Blakely is Lions Club Citizen of the Month
JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Lions’ Club Citizen of the Month for November is Cale J. Blakely, son of Erin and Doug Garner of Jersey Shore, and Kurt Blakely of Watsontown.
Cale’s activities include TSA, IT Club, Marching Band, Music Club, Morning School Announcements for one year; Jazz Band, Fall Play, School Musical, Barbershop Choir, Spectrum Club, three years; Concert Band, Chorus, FBLA, Drama Club, Mosaic Choir, four years.
Cale serves as the vice-president of the Spectrum Club and vice-president of the FBLA during his senior year. He also has served as vice-president of FBLA, the Drama Club, and Concert Choir during his junior year. He is also one of the founders of the Barbershop Choir group during his freshman year of high school.
Outside of school, Cale has worked with the Millbrook Playhouse, Community Theater League, Community Arts Center, and Skunk Run Productions. He also has worked at Arby’s.
During his high school career, Cale has received 7th Chair at the PMEA District Choir event, 10th Chair at the PMEA Regional Choir event, has placed 2nd at FBLA Regionals for Introduction to Financial Math, and has received the National School Choral Award.
Cale enjoys musical theater, reading, piano, and programming. He plans to attend Penn State University to major in Computer Science.
