LOCK HAVEN — Ari Newlen, daughter of Rodney and Jacque Newlen of Mill Hall, is a junior at Central Mountain High School who has plans to graduate at the end of her junior year of high school this June.

She is currently dual enrolled at Lock Haven University through the Advanced Medical Professions program through her high school. She also has big plans for her future. Those plans include to continue attending Lock Haven University in the Pre-Professional Studies-Biomedical Studies Program and to then attend a medical school to become a Pediatric/Neonatal Physician.

After applying to two different early acceptance programs to two different medical schools, the hard work has paid off and she has obtained early acceptance into Lock Haven University/Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) “Medicine 4+4” Early Acceptance Affiliation Program. This means that she has a seat saved for her in the LECOM entering class of 2025 as long as she maintains the requirements of the program while working toward her undergraduate degree at Lock Haven University.

Ari is extremely excited to begin this journey to become a physician.
