READING -- Three local high school students have been awarded scholarships to Albright College.
Known for academic rigor, Albright College is celebrating the hard work of top-achieving high school applicants by awarding academic merit awards. The college's Admission team considers Grade Point Average (GPA) to be a primary indicator of motivated students of academic promise.
Kaleb Matis of Howard, earned a $17,000 annual Dean's Scholarship. Currently attending Bald Eagle Area High School, Matis is interested in studying Psychology; Sociology: Criminology and/or Crime and Justice in college. Dean's Scholarships, in the amount of $17,000 per year, are offered to students with excellent academic records who demonstrate a commitment to school and community involvement.
Cayde McCloskey of Mill Hall, earned a $17,000 annual Dean's Scholarship. Currently attending Central Mountain High School, McCloskey is interested in studying Business Administration: Sports Management; Business Administration: Marketing and/or Business Administration: Management in college. Dean's Scholarships, in the amount of $17,000 per year, are offered to students with excellent academic records who demonstrate a commitment to school and community involvement.
Megan Reese of Lock Haven, earned a $19,000 annual Presidential Scholarship. Currently attending Central Mountain High School, Reese is interested in studying Early Childhood Education; Business Administration and/or Psychology: Child Development in college. Presidential Scholarships, in the amount of $19,000 per year, are offered to students with outstanding academic records. Presidential Scholars generally rank in the top five percent of their graduating class and demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to service.
