LOCK HAVEN -- Kelsey Anne Allison, of Lock Haven, was awarded the William G. McGowan Medal for Excellence in Doctoral Studies-Psy.D., at Marywood University's 2022 commencement ceremony. The McGowan Medal was founded by the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund in memory of William G. McGowan.
The daughter of Kathleen and Dwayne Allison, she received her master of arts degree in clinical psychology from Marywood University.
While a student at Marywood, Allison was a graduate assistant for the Psychological Services Center; a research assistant for the African Sisters Education Collaborative, ASEC; and will be completing her internship year in community mental health in Missouri.
In addition, Allison enjoys reading, playing trivia, and running with Lee's Summit running club.
