Recent graduates Catherine Lavallee, left, and Emma Evey, right, have each received a $2,000 UPMC Lock Haven Hospital Auxiliary Health Care Award. Catherine, the daughter of Robert Harley and Nicole Lavallee is from Mill Hall. In the fall she will be attending Penn State Hazleton in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. Catherine will be working toward a career where she feels she will "be able to make a difference in the lives of individuals who are all facing challenges." The daughter of Justin and Julie Evey of Lamar, Emma will be enrolled this fall at the Pennsylvania College of Technology where she will pursue a Bachelors of Nursing degree. Emma wrote that she is "eager to be part of a demanding yet fulfilling career."
