BEECH CREEK -- The 71st annual Bowes Reunion was held at the Beech Creek Legion Pavilion on Sunday, Aug.11, 2024. The family was blessed to have local relatives present, as well as family from Florida, Colorado, Maryland and Massachusetts.
The family wishes to extend a big thank you to Robert (Tink), Dave and Ron Bowes for securing a new location at such a last minute due to flooding at Bald Eagle State Park, where the reunion had been held previously.
The family gathered to enjoy a meal of fried chicken, homemade sides, fresh fruit and delicious desserts all provided by one another to share. Children participated in a variety of lawn games and won prizes. The day ended with the family's tradition, playing Bingo.
Families shared good news from the previous year including the birth of Brooks Webb, son of Arlene (Bowes) and Mark Webb; the birth of Finnley Bowes, daughter of Kyle and Jacey Bowes, and two Central Mountain High School graduates, Brayden Diehl and Maddox Hockenberry. Brayden will be attending Commonwealth University of PA – Lock Haven, while Maddox will be attending Pennsylvania College of Technology for Engineering. The family recognized two of our oldest members in attendance, Dick Bowes at 90 years old and Ruth Thompson at 89 years old.

Next year's annual Bowes Reunion will be held on Aug. 10, 2025, at the Beech Creek Legion Pavilion.
