BEECH CREEK -- The 72nd annual Bowes Reunion was held at the Beech Creek Legion Pavilion on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025. The family was blessed to have 88 members present including local relatives and those from Maryland, New Hampshire and even Tennessee.
The family gathered to enjoy a meal of fried chicken, homemade sides, fresh fruit and delicious desserts all provided by one another to share. Children participated in a variety of lawn and water games to win prizes. The day ended with the family's tradition, playing Bingo.
Families shared good news from the previous year including the birth of Riley and Logan Wolford, twin sons of Brian and Pua Wolford; the birth of Millie Giedroc, daughter of Garrett and Taylor Giedroc; the birth of Lennix Dennis, son of Michael and Sarah Dennis (great grandchild of Nancy (Bowes) Schick), and two Central Mountain High School graduates, Ava and Taylor Doyle, who will be attending Mount Aloysius College in the fall. The family recognized our oldest and youngest members in attendance, Dick Bowes, 91 years old, and Millie Giedroc, just shy of three months old. The family also took a moment to remember Sharon Masters and Ruth Thompson, who passed away since the last reunion.
