HOWARD -- The 73rd annual Bowes Reunion was held at the Liberty Township Sportsmen's Association on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026. The family was blessed to have 88 members present.
The family gathered to enjoy a meal of fried chicken, homemade sides, fresh fruit and delicious desserts all provided by one another to share.
Children enjoyed the playground equipment and participated in a variety of lawn and water games while winning prizes.
The day concluded with the family's tradition, playing Bingo.
Families shared good news from the previous year including the birth of Callan Pollard, son of Matthew and Arianna Pollard, and great-grandson of Ron and Joanne Bowes. As well as the birth of Evelyn Huffman, daughter of Brett and Kristin Huffman, granddaughter of Jason Bowes, and great-granddaughter of Dave and Deah Bowes.
They recognized the graduations of Jackson Bowes from Mechanicsburg Area High School, Kristen Huffman from Penn State University and Audrey Kough from Washington & Jefferson College.
The family also recognized our oldest and youngest members in attendance, Lois Bowes, at 88 years old, and Evelyn Huffman at one month old. The family also took a moment to remember Charles "Randy" Wise, who passed away after the last reunion.
