Local ceramic artist present at Bald Eagle Art League meeting

WILLIAMSPORT -- Ceramic artist, Victoria Hess will be the Bald Eagle Art League's guest presenter at the Bald Eagle Art League meeting on Thursday, April 4, from 7-8:30 pm. at the Thomas Taber Museum, located at 858 W. 4th St., Williamsport. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
Victoria Thompson-Hess is a multi-media artist who teaches children's art classes and adult workshops in her studio in the Muncy Borough. She has taught drawing and tile-making workshops in local elementary schools, high schools and public libraries in the area.
Her ceramic work can be viewed in "The Ceramic Design Book" by Lark Publications.
Victoria specializes in handmade ceramic tile installations and sculptured mosaic tile wall hangings because of the spontaneous nature of this particular art form, each piece is one of a kind.
Her relief mosaic hangings and permanent installations are displayed in fine homes and businesses from Pennsylvania to Washington State, as well as in France, Australia, Belgium and Japan. Along with two other wall hangings, Victoria's "Lady of the Lake" relief tile relief mosaic is displayed on the second floor of the James V. Brown Library's Welch Children's Wing. She also designed and executed the "PA Wilds" interactive mural in the Blue Programming room on the first floor of the Children's Wing. She also teaches children's art at Centered Earth studio in Pennsdale.
