Budstock returns for 8th year in Renovo
PHOTO PROVIDED OutRage is one of seven bands that will hit the stage for the 8th Annual Budstock Music Festival in Renovo.
RENOVO — President of Budstock board of directors, Gary Eberhard, said the board is happy to announce that BUDSTOCK — the free all day music festival — will be returning to the site of where it all began this Saturday, Aug. 31.
The 8th annual Budstock will return to the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park coal tipple where it was first held in 2015.
In addition to six bands — and in total dozens of musicians — this year for the first time a cornhole competition will be held, a chance for all participants to grab some quick cash as well as helping out the Budstock Scholarship fund.
Carl Gentzel, veteran Corn Hole Competition coordinator will be the organizer of this event.
A returning vendor “The Angry Beaver” demonstrating wood burning and design skills will also be on hand. You may remember Kevin when he was the security guard at the First Commonwealth Bank. Stop by and say hello, Kevin will be glad to catch up with you. Also while you are there ask him about his Banjo.
Michelle Reeves is very busy organizing the basket raffle. If you want to show your gift basket skill and help support a good cause, or just help out, call Michelle at 814-341-5841 or Gary at 570-660-4176.
Budstock is set to feature music, food, raffles, games and much more, serving as a great way to end the summer.
This year’s musical line up includes:
— The Bucktail Marching Band at 11 a.m.
— Phil Reeder at 12 p.m.
— 2 A.M. performing at 2 p.m.
— Unhinged at 4 p.m.
— OutRage at 6 p.m.
